Parent & Tot

Learn together. Play together. Get comfortable in the water.

10 months–3 years · 30 minutes · parent in the water

Program details

Planned format: 30 minutes, with one instructor guiding 4–6 parent-and-child pairs, subject to pool policy. A parent or caregiver stays in the water with their child. For ages 10 months through 3 years; readiness and facility suitability are discussed before placement.

For children under one, sessions focus on parent-supported water play and comfort. Every session requires close, attentive adult supervision. Swimming lessons do not make a child drown-proof or replace supervision.

How places are funded

SSA funds limited places initially. As we grow, we aim to offer more. Funding, eligibility and award lengths are still being worked out; no fixed number or duration is promised.
